This was (Chauh)another horrendous recreation

Being a firm believer in the adage, “Old is gold”, I couldn’t resist asking myself, “Why was this classic recreated?” the first time I listened to Yeh Mera Dil from Don – The Chase Begins Again.

Mercifully, it was just four minutes and 39 seconds long – the shortest song in the film.

Although tracks like these are usually right up Sunidhi’s alley, it must be said that she failed to Ch(auh)annel her inner Asha Bhosle.

It seemed Javed Akhtar, who penned it, was in indulgent dad mode.

Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa composed it.
