Mukherjee S(ha)ang the don’s praises

Main Hoon Don, the title track of Don – The Chase Begins Again, was rendered by Shaan.

It appeared in two versions on the film’s soundtrack. While this blog contains the five-and-a-half-minute-long version, its remixed version – called the Funcinternational Mix – was five minutes and 13 seconds long. The latter was credited to DJ Randolph.

Penned by Javed Akhtar, the song was composed by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa.

While the trio didn’t attempt to reprise the title track of the 1978 film (which was also called Main Hoon Don), there must’ve been (odious) comparisons.
