Nach Baliye, from Bunty Aur Babli, was six minutes and a couple of seconds long. But
of all the songs in the film, its shelf life was the shortest.
Although one of
the lines of the track, penned by Gulzar, went, “On the dance floor Oh kudiye” (which can be translated to, “On the
dance floor, Oh girl”), it probably didn’t inspire any woman to hit the dance
floor.
It was composed
by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa.
Mahadevan and
Loy, who were joined behind the microphone by Raoh, couldn’t S(owmy)alvage the
track.
