Alka was terrific. (U)Ditto Narayan

It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that the two-year period between 2002 and 2004 was forgettable for Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Mendonsa’s fans.

But the soundtrack of Lakshya, which released in 2004, could be described as a treat for the ears.

There is no doubt that the film’s songs, penned by Javed Akhtar, catered to the classes [perhaps a deliberate pLoy, but boy, did (Ud)it work!]

Agar Main Kahoon, the conversational track from the film, was four minutes and 52 seconds long.

It was rendered by the dependable veterans, Alka Yagnik and Mr Narayan.
