The title track
of Bunty Aur Babli was five minutes
and 42 seconds long, and was penned by Sampooran Singh Kalra [better known as
Gulzar (which couldn’t be a more apt pen name, because he is evergreen.)]
It was composed
by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa.
Siddharth, the
older son of Mahadevan, shared Sing(h)ing credits with his dad, Sukhwinder and Jaspinder
Narula.
The best line of
the song is, “Aisa koi saga nahin jisko
thaga nahin” (which can be translated to, “There’s no near and dear one of
theirs that they haven’t conned.”)
