The title track
of Salaam-E-Ishq: A Tribute to Love, was penned by Sameer. The
longest track in the film, it was seven minutes and four seconds long.
Mr Mahadevan, who
composed it with Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa, Sha(nka)red singing credits
with Kunal Ganjawala, Sadhana Sargam, Shreya Ghoshal and Mr Nigam.
It definitely
wouldn’t be incorrect to state that the rendition by the aforementioned quintet
was just what the doctor prescribed to salvage a So(n)undtrack that wasn’t
mediocre, but neither had repeat value (save for a couple of other songs) nor a
long ShELf life.
