Kitni Baatein, a duet La(kshya)den with sorrow, was penned by Javed Akhtar and composed
by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa.
The soundtrack
of the film featured two versions of the track, which can be translated to, “I
can remember a number of things.”
This blog
contains the longer version, which was five minutes and 47 seconds long.
The shorter
version, called Kitni Baatein (Reprise),
was four minutes and 11 seconds long.
Both were
rendered by the same pair – the Cousin who has managed to rid himself of the
Colonial (Hari)ha(ra)ngover and Sadhana Sargam.
