Saleem (Kh)and Shankar salvaged it

All said and done, Mast Kalandar was the most entertaining song in Heyy Babyy, and it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that it was the track that salvaged the soundtrack, which, by no means, was Mast.

At five minutes and 53 seconds, it was the joint-longest track in the film.

Penned by Sameer, it was composed by Shankar Mahadevan (who is also the best-known of the quartet who rendered it), Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa.

Saleem Shahzada (popularly known by his stage name, Master Saleem) and two Khans – Rehan and Sajid – were the other three.
