All said and
done, Mast Kalandar was the most
entertaining song in Heyy Babyy, and
it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that it was the track that salvaged the
soundtrack, which, by no means, was Mast.
At five minutes
and 53 seconds, it was the joint-longest track in the film.
Penned by
Sameer, it was composed by Shankar Mahadevan (who is also the best-known of the
quartet who rendered it), Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa.
Saleem Shahzada
(popularly known by his stage name, Master Saleem) and two Khans – Rehan and
Sajid – were the other three.
