When a singing
S(on)uperstar of Mr Nigam’s calibre and the talented Ms Iyer are behind the (Mahalaksh)microphone,
the result can only be described in one word – outstanding. And that’s exactly
what Chup Chup Ke was.
The track from Bunty Aur Babli, which was seven minutes
and 13 seconds long, was penned by Gulzar and composed by Shankar Mahadevan,
Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa.
(Note: I forgot to
mention that the film’s soundtrack earned the trio the Filmfare Award, the
International Indian Film Academy Award and the Zee Cine Award for Best Music
Director in 2006.)
