Kajra Re, from Bunty Aur Babli, was one of the CatChi(nai)est tracks of the last
decade. It bagged the Zee Cine Award for Most Popular Track of the Year.
Eight minutes
and two seconds long, it was the longest track in the film.
Gulzar won the
Filmfare Award and the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best
Lyricist in 2006.
It was composed
by Shankar Mahadevan, Noorani (Ehsa)and Loy Mendonsa.
Alisha (who bagged
the Filmfare Award and the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best
Female Playback in 2006), Mahadevan and Javed Ali rendered it.
