The soundtrack
of Wake Up Sid! (2009) didn’t consist
of the run-of-the-mill fare, and Hindi film music aficionados were grateful to Shankar
Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa for that.
In fact, it
wouldn’t be incorrect if it were included in the list of the top ten albums in
their discography.
Aaj Kal Zindagi, which was four minutes and 13 seconds
long, was an emotional track penned by Javed Akhtar.
It was rendered
by Mahadevan. It didn’t seem that he had to put in a great deal of effort to
tug at the listeners’ heartstrings.
